Certificate Awarded: After successful completion of theory + OSCE + clinical/simulation assessment

Month 1 – Fundamentals of Implant Dentistry
Module: Introduction to Oral Implantology
Topics:- History & evolution of implantology- Implant types & systems (two-piece vs one-piece, bone vs tissue level) – OMFS- Surgical anatomy: maxilla, mandible, ID canal, sinus – OMFS- Biology & biomechanics of osseointegration – Periodontist- Prosthetic options overview – Prosthodontist
Hands-On / Simulation:- Implant component identification (demo kits)- Radiographic interpretation exercises (OPG, CBCT basics)- Anatomy marking on typodonts- Live/simulated case observation
Assessment:- 20 MCQs (history, anatomy, osseointegration)- OSPE: anatomical landmarks identification

Month 2 – Diagnostics & Treatment Planning
Module: Implant Case Selection & Digital Planning
Topics:- Diagnostic imaging: OPG, CBCT – OMFS- Ridge classification (Atwood, Misch) – Periodontist- Medical considerations & contraindications – Periodontist- Digital planning workflows – Prosthodontist- Guided surgery concepts, wax-up, surgical stents – Prosthodontist
Hands-On / Simulation:- CBCT-based planning software (Large V, Vatech, Shining 3D)- Surgical guide fabrication & virtual implant planning
Assessment:- MCQs (diagnosis, ridge classification)- Case-based treatment planning presentation (1 case)

Month 3 – Surgical Principles in Implantology
Module: Basic Implant Surgery & Soft Tissue Management
Topics:- Flap design & suturing in implantology – OMFS- Drilling protocols, insertion torque, primary stability – OMFS- Asepsis & infection control – OMFS- Single-tooth replacement in healed ridges – OMFS
– Peri-implant soft tissue considerations – Periodontist
Hands-On / Simulation:- Implant placement on jaw models/animal jaws- Flap design & suturing (simulation pads/animal tissue)- Surgical setup & instrument handling
Assessment:- OSCE: flap design, implant placement on models- Surgical video quiz

Month 4 – Prosthodontic Phase
Module: Implant Restorations: From Impression to Delivery
Topics:- Prosthetic components: abutments, screws, prosthesis types – Prosthodontists- Impression techniques: open tray vs closed tray – Prosthodontists- Abutment selection & customization – Prosthodontists- Occlusion in implant dentistry – Prosthodontists- Soft tissue shaping & emergence profile – Periodontist- Common prosthetic complications – Prosthodontists
Hands-On / Simulation:- Implant impressions on typodonts- Provisional restoration fabrication- Abutment selection & torque protocol- Cast/model workflow demo
Assessment:- Viva: prosthetic components- OSCE: abutment/prosthetic part identification- Case demo: prosthetic workflow

Month 5 – Bone Grafting & Advanced Techniques
Module: Site Development & Hard/Soft Tissue Augmentation
Topics:- GBR principles & membranes – Periodontist- Socket preservation – Periodontist- Sinus lift (lateral & crestal) – OMFS- Soft tissue grafts (CTG, FGG) – Periodontist- Ridge expansion basics – OMFS- Biomaterials overview – All faculty
Hands-On / Simulation:- GBR on models with collagen membranes & grafts- Sinus lift on models/animal heads- Suturing for graft stabilization- Biomaterials demo session
Assessment:- MCQs (GBR, sinus, grafting materials)- OSCE: grafting materials/membranes identification- Demo check: sinus/graft technique

Month 6 – Clinical Cases, Complications & Certification
Module: Clinical Implantology & Case Management
Topics:- Supervised implant placement (1–2 patients) – OMFS- Prosthetic phase (impression & delivery) – Prosthodontists- Peri-implantitis & maintenance protocols – Periodontist
– Complication prevention & troubleshooting – All faculty
Hands-On / Simulation:- Supervised implant placement (simple cases)- Prosthetic restoration on placed implants- Complication discussion rounds
